Our church recently celebrated its 14th anniversary. This event took place in Quakers Hill Community Centre.

We were blessed to hear an inspiring message from our guest speaker - Pastor Edwin Alvarez from Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Olongapo, Philippines.

Pastor Israel Marquez and his family started their mission work here in Australia under the name of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in 2004. He was then commissioned as a missionary to Sydney by Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, California under the leadership of Pastor Bill Bekkgard.

As the work continued doing and fulfilling the task that God has entrusted to His people, the church began to hold Sunday services and bible studies. In 2006, God provided us a place inside Mount Druitt Public School after two years of holding services at Pastor Marquez’s house. The school became the church’s home for 13 years and were blessed to use the place for free.

In 2009, Pastor Richard Perfecto, from the US, was assigned and commissioned by IMBC California to come and organised our church into a New Testament Local Church. From then on, the name of the church was changed from Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church to now Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church.

As the church expanded, we started our afternoon Sunday services in Summer Hill Community Centre. Both places were no longer being used for church services due to the restrictions placed during the pandemic. But praises to our Lord, this opened an opportunity for us to continue the work through ZOOM meetings and is now gathering every Sunday morning at Toongabbie Community Centre.

Our church has ups and downs, there were those who started the mission but were no longer with us. Still, God is faithful and just to guide us to win more souls and conduct baptisms from time to time.
